DJ
An illustration made of one of my friends in her cosplay of a My Little Pony character (DJ Pon-3). I didn't know much about the character when I chose to draw it, I just knew that it was a cool pose and cool outfit which would look great drawn.
In making it, I thought that connecting the look with a Frutiger Metro aesthetic (think the old iPod ads from the 2000s) would work best. Frutiger Metro is synonymous with music, and that's what made it a good match for a cosplay of a DJ.
I also added an audio visualizer to the background, not present in the image on display here because of website limitations. The full version with the visualizer is on my Instagram account (linked on the bar on the left).
Made in Procreate and After Effects.
